HOW TO DO A 1:1 VISIT
- Check the 1:1 Visit Binder located in the recreation therapy office downstairs to see who needs a visit
- Bring something with you to do with the resident during your visit such as a game, music, the bunny, a book, the newspaper, etc.
- Also, remember that just talking to the resident about his military experience or life growing up or family (reminiscence therapy) is another great thing to do during a 1:1 visit.
- Look for the resident's room by searching the name plaques located on the wall outside each resident room
- The resident whose picture is on the right is located near the window.
- The resident whose picture is on the left is closest to the door.
- Always knock before entering a resident's room
- After the visit, make sure to record the information in the 1:1 Visit Binder
